We are happy to announce that this summer, we will be receiving phase two of the Indigenous Outdoor Learning Space as a result of a second grant from Shell. The plan includes:
- Large monument rock with plaque to recognize the learning space, in the middle green space (that has the flagpole & sign) in front of the school to be visible for the school and general community.
- Addition of more boulders for seating placed north of the existing coniferous trees in the front of the school, the same size as the boulders in the sharing circle, with flat surfaces for seating.
We are excited for the opportunity to continue learning from the land and building our foundational knowledge around indigenous ways of knowing and being.
