Halloween at Win Ferguson

Halloween is just around the corner and some of our students (and maybe some staff too!) will be choosing to dress up. Our costume day will be Friday, October 29 for the whole school, and Thursday October 28 for both Kindergarten B classes.  Please keep in mind, the purpose of dress up for Halloween at Win Ferguson is to have fun and be creative. Dress up is a student/family choice.

As we continue to follow our safety protocols, there are changes to our usual Halloween activities:

  • There will not be any whole school activities such as dances or costume parades.
  • Please do not send food or treats to school for students to share.
  • Each class may have some activities to celebrate the day that will happen within their cohort.

Costumes should:

- be age appropriate for a Kindergarten to grade 6 school

- not include any props

- permit full mobility, vision and hearing for students

- be simple enough for students to put on without assistance

All costumes must comply with the Covid-19 safety guidelines:

- students must be able to wash and sanitize their hands

- students must be able to wear their non-medical face mask

- students should come to school wearing their costumes - changing in the washrooms will not be permitted.

Thank you everyone, Happy Halloween!
