Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 by two Nova Scotia high school students. They took a stand against bullying after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school. They rallied their classmates to wear pink as a show of support and as a protest against bullying and gender stereotypes.
Pink Shirt Day is now an international event. We encourage staff and students to wear pink on Wednesday, February 26 to bring awareness to, and celebrate our diversity. Let's make Win Ferguson a sea of pink!
